Parks & Recreation
The Village contains over 100 acres of public parks and open space. Large parks and open space areas are included in the Foxmoor, Hunter's Farm, Picnic Grove, and Victoria Woods developments. Park locations can be viewed by clicking here.
Recreation activities in Fox River Grove are coordinated by the Fox River Grove Rec Council, a non-profit organization.
Park Hours: 8:00 a.m. to Dusk - Camping is not allowed in any Village park. Alcoholic Beverages are not allowed in any park without a permit.
Picnic Grove Park - 30 acres, Picnic Grove subdivision on the Fox River
Includes playground equipment, volleyball courts, and sledding hill. Location of annual fireworks event.
Lions Park- 6 acres, Fox River
Includes a large picnic shelter and playground equipment, picnic and fishing areas. A baseball field, sand volleyball court, and basketball hoops are located on the far end of the park. Location of other events.
Foxmoor Park - 30 acres, Foxmoor subdivision on Lexington Ave.
Includes two fishing ponds and hiking area.
Foxmoor Jaycee Park - 3 ½ acres, Foxmoor subdivision on Foxmoor Rd.
Includes picnic shelter, fishing, basketball hoop in parking lot, playground equipment, picnic areas, hiking areas, baseball and soccer fields.
Fox River Grove Middle School - 1 acre
Includes baseball fields and playground equipment for school use.
Hunters Farm Park - 15 acres, Hunters Farm subdivision.
Includes playground equipment, soccer and baseball fields.
North River Parks (#1 - #2 - #3) - 1 acre, 3 small parks located on the Fox River
Includes playground equipment, picnic areas, and fishing locations.
Old Hunt Park - 9 acres, Foxmoor subdivision on Old Hunt Rd.
Includes soccer and baseball fields (concession stand). A small sledding hill is also available adjacent to the walking path to Algonquin Road School.
Spring Creek & Maple Parks - 9 acres, West side of town on the Fox River
Includes a small picnic area, open space available for hiking, and fishing.
Algonquin Road & Stanger Parks - 7 acres, Algonquin Road School
Includes playground equipment, soccer field, hiking areas and Kids Care basketball courts.
Victoria Woods Park - 22 acres, Victoria Woods subdivision
