Block B
“Block B” is the term the Village has used informally to describe the downtown parcels between Illinois Street & Lincoln Avenue that extend from Northwest Highway to Opatrny Drive (not including the Municipal Center).

The Village entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with American Construction Services in May 2022 for the purposes of redeveloping Block B.

At this time, the proposed concept plan calls for 141,000 sq. ft. building / 3 stories, 14,000 to 15,000 sq. ft. of commercial space, 80 apartment units (50 one bedroom & 30 two bedroom),  83 indoor parking stalls, and 73 outdoor parking stalls. Click here to view the concept plan.

The project recently stalled due to current economic conditions.  While the Village retains the option to resume these plans with the identified developer at a future date, the Village continues to seek an alternative developer that is interested in pursuing a project now. The Village is currently marketing the property to the commercial / mixed-use development community through a real estate broker.
